Squares and rectangles are all around us. They are everywhere and they are a super idea for a homemade Halloween costume. So look around your house and see what you can come up with.
Dice are square and a dice Halloween costume would be cute. You can purchase it already made or you can make one yourself out of a square box. You can go out trick or treating as a single fuzzy dice or as a pair of stacked dice. It is completely up to you. It is an outfit that is sure to surprise more than a few folks
Another easy costume is a Sponge Bob square pants. He's square, he's box shaped, so what could be simpler? This one is just too easy.
Thinking of rectangles then how about a colorful crayon box costume. Cute, colourful, and sure to be a hit is a Crayola Crayon box. You can purchase it already made or pull out your colored paints and create your own cardboard version.
A pine box coffin is another great idea for a costume and all you really need is a large rectangular box. A vampire in his coffin costume can be quite easily designed. If you are designing your own coffin costume you can either have armholes or keep your arms inside. You decide because you are the one who will be wearing it. Hmmm? Would a refrigerator box work for that? Don't have the right size box you can tape a few smaller boxes together to suit your need.

Dressed like food you may get a little bit of a munchie attack but fortunately if it is Halloween then you may find some treats to nibble on so this shouldn't be too much of an issue. Oh yum.
Don't forget the milk. A rectangle shape box would make a nice nutritious box of milk outfit for Halloween. Just pull out your large rectangular cardboard box and start designing your own.
Cut two arm holes about 1/4 of the way down and just above and in between them cut out a hole for your face to peek through. Now paint your box white and write MILK in big black letters on the front and back.
This pattern works for virtually any square or rectangular food product. Just change your colors and the words you paint onto the outside of your box.

5. Check your candy before you consume it. Throw away any packages which are ripped, open, or have a puncture mark.
6. Use LED lights to replace candles in your pumpkins and especially if young children will be walking near them. A long costume can easily drift onto the pumpkin and catch a candle's light. Play safe.
