Pros of the HoMedics massage cushion:

  • You can set your cushion for either shiatsu massage or rolling massage.
  • You can select upper or lower body if you wish to concentrate on just one area rather than the full back.
  • The Shiatsu is my favorite setting. It is a delightful circular motion by the rollers on either side that is pure heaven. I set it to lower back and I feel like I new woman when I stand up from the chair.
  • The rolling massage setting runs the rollers slowly up and down your back. It is a gentle movement that is both relaxing and invigorating.
  • The massage cushion easily packs up for travel and can be carried with you when you are heading on vacation or out to visit with friends.

Our Homedic cushion features both upper and lower back settings as well as full back massage. This is really nice as you can adjust the massage to suit your body. We have shiatsu massage and rolling massage control settings on our spa cushion.

Cons of our HoMedics massage cushion:

  • The massage cushion was not quite high enough to accommodate a very tall man. At 27 inches in height it is ideal for myself or for an average height man but my extra tall husband finds it to be a bit short for him. HoMedics massage cushions come in a wide variety of styles and sizes so be sure to select one that includes a neck area massage if this is an area of concern for you.

My husbands stress area is the base of his neck and his shoulder area which is quite common for men and this area is not quite within reach of the massage cushion that we purchased. Although it will take care of the majority of his back he is disappointed that his upper neck and shoulder area does not receive the massage.
